Today we experienced dramatic changes in weather and landscape. We went from the heat of a desert to snowy mountains (8650ft - 2600m), from a sand storm to a rain and snow storm, from pristine untouched white sand dunes to the endless thousands of rigs pumping black oil.

... all the customs officers were - especially when I remembered they all spoke English! Arrived back to Kansas City after being up for 22 hours so went right to bed at 9 pm Kansas time and slept through until 7 am.
