We've only had to drive one and a half hour to visit with Mariette and Rick in St. Brieux. The weather has become very warm giving us some comfortable evenings spent in their outside hot tub. This is the way I remember Sask. There are very few mosquitoes so we can sit out till bedtime enjoying a campfire.

Liz and Herb we are enjoying the singing, sharing and tours. It is especially exciting to have Genevieve here. We are leaving with great memories, fresh garden lettuce, strawberries and dill.

... treated to a thunderstorm of lightening similar to fireworks. The shocking white and blue fingered across the black sky, illuminating the otherwise invisible thunderheads. We watched from our window and I was lulled to sleep. I thought Prary Skye would be a lovely name for a daughter.

... it growing. If it is worth what people say, there will be a lot of happy farmers at the end of this growing season. The bright yellow flower sure does look magnificent. They are also growing flax which is a blue/purple colour. ... country!! We got into Winnipeg at about 5:00 p.m. This was a major stop for the train - refueling and restocking the dining cars. We had an hour to spend, and decided to get supper at The Forks. By the time we were reboarded and on our way, we were about 2 hours behind time, and becoming a bit concerned about getting into Edmonton hours late. ... sneak in 1/2 dozen of Kim's home made buns, plastic wrap and all! We all stayed in Kim's spare bedroom - all four of us! Zoe came up on the bed with us, and Chewy lay in a corner near the door. Left Malta at about 8:30 a.m. A very uneventful ride. Crossed the border with only a few questions from the border guard. He didn't even check my bags...didn't take my ID into the office....didn't ask if I've ever been arrested. Weather not warm, but not too cool given I have an electric heated vest. At Rosetown, it appeared that it would rain so switched to my full-face helmet. No rain until after I arrived in Prince Albert. In all, an excellent adventure. 3,855 kms trip.

We are in the midst of planning our trip to the US and ski camp. At camp Katie will be meeting up with Jake and Jillian Andrews, from Syracuse, NY. They are the oldest children of Jeff and Jen, good family friends. While Katie is at camp at Mt. Hood, OR, Judy will be visiting her brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Darlene, in Spokane, WA.

My time in Saskatoon is drawing to a close. It has been absolutely wonderful being at home for a while. My mom has been spoiling me rotten! I have been a complete lady of leisure - filling my time with golf games with my dad, shopping and lunch with my mom and sitting in the hot tub and going out at night with my sister Clare.
