We briefly stopped in Sudbury today so that we could pay $5 to take our picture with the giant nickel.     ... new stand with newspaper and three different kinds of gun magazines and lots of Jesus tshirts. There are also well-marked snowmobile trails, complete with their own red octagonal mini-stop signs. Little to no cell phone service up here, but should be crossing into Wisconsin soon. Couldn't ask for better traveling companions! Girls are doing great. We are watching/listening to season 1 of Muppet show. Off we go again! Hope to be in Baudette ...

    ... I talked to the locals and found out the following: A Yooper is a common term for residents of the Upper Penisula of Michigan. It is derived from the initials U.P. which is pronounced you-pee. U.P. stands for Upper Peninsula, as opposed to the lower peninsula of Michigan. Yoopers make fun of Trolls.
