      ... like 10 bed dorms, or city hostels but I've liked everyone who has come and gone from the dorm over the past couple of weeks.       ... was doing a Christmas meal , so that was a great night, stayed up till around 2am chatting to new friends and celebrating into Christmas morning . Absolute loving it right now .       ... for most of the night - they are on their 2nd year visa and living in Melbourne. We drank a fair amount of wine and watched the fireworks! Even the family ones at 9pm were amazing! To be honest I don't remember a lot else and Doug was amazing getting me home. 2014 was the most incredible year and I'm so pleased to have spent the new year with my fantastic husband :) hope you all have a great 2015! ...

      ... and walked to Circular Quay, we got on the catamaran to Cockatoo Island, this was an island which was initially used to house the convicts in the late 1800s and then moved onto become the main Australian Naval base during the Second World War. There's not much going on there now apart from a campsite and some luxury accommodation which you can hire out. There used to be 4,000 people working on the island and if would have been buzzing, now it's a bit of a ghost town ...
