Most of the cows feed is silage and a mix of oats, seeds and grains. They are now starting to graze but are only eating around 6kg DM each. So, here we are… The very first day of 2013. After a somewhat dull and depressing NYE where I was informed that I needed surgery for the umpteenth time (plus the fact that I am likely to need to have this surgery every couple of years for the rest of my life…) and my "gathering" for NYE was somewhat of a damp squib which resulted in my being in alone and in bed by 12am (I could have gone out but after the news earlier in the day, was not feeling it at all!), ...

The weather was really lovely and I walked back through the city and was surprised how much of Leicester hasn't changed at all in the 4 years since I moved to Melbourne!
