      Welcome to my travelling blog. If anyone is at all interested this can be a quick and easy way to update lots of different people all at once so enjoy if you fancy some bedtime reading! So I've had my last weekend at home. It's been emotional of course ;) and I'm starting to really realise the big trip is fast approaching. About time!       ... large and well preserved, having been bought by Tussards who, much to their credit, have created wonderful, engaging and informative displays throughout the castle. We were able to experience the castle as it got ready for battle, trying on helmets (of which were too small for my head) and see the wax archers preparing their arrows, the wax blacksmiths striking another horse shoe, as well as the cannon constructors, the alchemist and many others all captured ...

      ... home so I didn't pack anything suitable). I not only left Warwick with a new dress but also two sweaters and a pair of trousers! The fridge continued to play up. It had originally stopped working entirely but by Warwick, the freezer was working but not the fridge. This wasn't too hard to deal with as the frozen food stayed put and the rest of the food went in boxes under the van.       ... spent some time trying to find the 100 tigers pictured in the chapel. There were also 540 angels in the church but I didn't tell them that until we left.

      At night Lucy had a great chance to play with a local 10 and Under girls futbol team. Rich had emailed a local club last month and they invited her to practice while we were here. This was the top team in the county and she held her own (even in the rain). Great ...

      So, here we are… The very first day of 2013.
