From one Grey town to another....

... to get to from Manchester to London for around a pound one way the only problem is that you have to fight with people to get a seat and it takes about 4 - 5 hours, this is ok but you find you have to spend this time smelling an array of different tasty smells BO being my personal favorite. Why if you are sharing such an intimate space with people would you not wear deodrant. Anyways ...

British Museum

After seeing a bit more of Notting Hill's neighborhoods, we came back and spent 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm in the British Museum. We were greeted at the door by the actual, physical Rosetta Stone, and went on to see some really fantastic stone carvings and engravings. As always, click on the pictures to see the stories!

Cold, wet, and gloomy

While we were eating breakfast, Florian's flatmate looked out the window and was like, "This is real English weather." Yes, I was finally experiencing my first dose of ****** weather. It was bound to come sooner or later. During my ride I was cold and I was wet. And most of the time I really didn't even know where I was or where I was going. I ...

Day 1 - Theatre Trip

Today was a difficult day, not only is one recovering from a very boozy weekend spent up north but a very long drive back to London. The post alcoholic depression is kicking in and I am left craving for more northern banter and cheap booze. Having managed to slog through a pretty normal day and stay awake, I embark on the evenings social activity of a theatre trip with 2 birds and a gay ...

First Day of Class, Tate Museum, Fish and Chips

... MMMMM...it was pretty good!! Then, Mormon and Scheluter left us to get back on our own. A few of us went to Oxford Circus but then came back when we realized that the shops were already closing. I ended up coming back to my room and reading a little bit of the horror romance novel and started falling asleep. So, I ended up crashing around 10:30 pm for bed. But, it felt good!

Edinburgh... and the trip so far!

... has it that some were so passionate about the cause that they signed it in their own blood. We wandered down the Royal Mile from Edinburgh Castle down to the palace of Holyrood house, stopping at the little shops along the way. From the palace, there is a good view up towards Arthurs seat, and since it was such a beautiful clear day, we decided to hazard the steep climb. Arthur's seat is an old extinct volcanic site and offers the most tremendous views over Edinburgh for ...

You certainly make living and working in London something for me to remember. Some crazy randomness we've been up to: * Afterwork drinks at our local drinking hole - Alibi. Our usual please?! Looking for a job?

... in Liverpool Station (in the dark with my bag) I tried to the Generator Hostel. I needed to reach the area of King Cross station, but it was such an amazing mild night. Another thing that did great, is that the London air seem to have unblocked my nose and helped with my cold. I wasn't feeling too bad anymore. I managed to arrive at the hostel where I stayed back in 2005 by 11hpm, checked in and discuss a bit with the night receptionnist if there could be ...
