The weather was a bit better this morning so we headed back up to Pitsford Reservoir, where we tracked down a couple of drake Smew, perhaps the most attractive of the ducks found in the UK and also one of the scarcest. Plenty of other wildfowl on the reservoir as well, though it's a shame that you need a permit to gain access to most of it.

Time is passing very slowly this week but I'm sure that it will seem like no time at all till we're all meeting up in Thailand, if I pas my exams that is! I'l fond out next Thursday just as you arrive in Jordan!
