... I just had to remind him at intersections to stay on the right far side, natural instinct to drift across to the left. We were guided out and onto Pacific Highway One to Malibu …. so glad to be rid of that place (we are definitely not city goers) once we settled down we pulled into a Jack n Box on the seaside and had some brunch …. more burgers and chips, then onto who knows where, seeing lots of old convertibles (El Camino) and new Mustangs, Dodge ...
Day 37- From Santa Cruz Island back to mainland
... a chilly sea (without a wetsuit, obviously) for a quite some time. Apparently he managed to see some exceptional sea life down there. The weather was sunny but really windy so it was quite chilly there, and not until the boat arrived a bit after 4 pm, we realised that we were totally sunburned!

První den cesty
... Vzhledem k povaze vozovky jsme tím pádem ztratili docela dost času. (Ale to místo je krásný.) Když jsme se konečně dostali na správnou trasu, bylo už pozdní odpoledne. Projíždění Malibu, Venturou a Santa Barbarou nás nenechalo na pochybách, že tahle část Ameriky není pro chudáky. Ostatně podobné to bude až do San Francisca.

Highway 1- An Amazing Coast Line
... Gorda (known for whale watching), it was 4 miles straight up the side of a mountain with sheer cliffs and highway traffic. By the time we reached the store for chicken (dinner)... Christina was done. I have to say she was a trooper, it was also kind of comical seeing her ride her 80's throw back bike. Today we left Cachuma Lake Camp Ground for Santa Barbara and have been enjoying the beautiful city. We are on our way to Ojai for two nights and then on to LA..... more to ...

... en TOEN kwamen we erachter dat we niet op dinsdag maar MAANDAG de tour hadden in Universal Studio ! Dat was slechts nieuws, want de tour (wij hadden een VIP tour) begon om 10 uur ! Tja, we hadden weinig keus dus moesten we gewoon om 6 uur 's ochtends vertrekken...alhoewel de tour om 10 uur begint, moesten we er om 9 ongeveer zijn. Dus deze ene keer maar eens de klok zetten en Alfred's mobiel zodat we ZEKER wakker zouden ...
