... family on Monday morning in the beautiful town of Sucre. They'll be providing me with a room, a bed, breakfast, lunch and most likely a shed-load of completely bamboozling, non-English conversation! The rest of the trip I'll keep secret for now... The backpack is packed and all that stands between me and beautiful South America is a MAMMOTH 36-hour journey. Which I'm sure is going to be just FAB! :-| Watch this ...

Not sure what made me think of coming to Liverpool but it was well worth the visit, in fact, I could easily have stayed a couple more days and still not seen it all. ... Also shows how very much part of the Industrial Age Manchester was. Seems to me this city has more to boast about itself than Liverpool (who seem to cash in on the Beatles.). To be fair, I believe maritime and shipping were Liverpool's big other features. - The John Rylands Library - yep I went to a library. But a very old, very prestigious and very beautiful old building. Not much to say ...

... at Pontcysyllte. Built by Thomas Telford and completed in 1805, it’s the longest & tallest working aqueduct in the UK. We can also see the Chirk aqueduct in the distance. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to do a canal crossing by boat because for some reason none of the boats start operating until 12.30…… obviously not morning people then!

We checked out the great castle at Chirk but ...
