The lake looks nice it's pretty quiet this time of year. Checked out the Atlantis casino when we got back ...

... woke the kids up in a deep sleep. They were ready to go relatively quickly and off we set. We checked them in to ski school and waved them off with nervous smiles (all of us)... Then Pete and I got lost in our own world. We got our gear and a lesson which ended up being for the day. Luckily Pete is a patient man as I thought he was going to get frustrated as we were painstakingly told a lot of details about snow, skiing ...

          ... It’s still running."

After fastening the cap we took off. I felt good about it. Kara did not share in my comfort. After finishing the beautiful drive over Donner Pass, past Squaw and then up the Truckee we stopped at the Bridgetender where 89 splits off to North Lake Tahoe.
