Socks was born on May 10, 1995 in Tallahassee, FL. He was our daughter's cat - a "college cat." We adopted him in 1996.
In 2007, Socks was diagnosed with Leukemia which was in remission. However, in the past ten days he hadn’t been feeling well. An ultrasound revealed that his Leukemia had spread to Lymphoma. Three veterinarians including Dr. Rossi from MA suggested that we put Socks to sleep since he had 3-6 months max to live and to avoid ...

Left Arlington, TX early in the morning. Heavy rain predicted later on in the morning, definitely wanted to leave before the rain. Ran into rain anyway so it took longer than usual. Texas received heavy rain the past 2 weeks that caused severe flooding in the Dallas / Houston area, of course this is where we are .

Outside of having to dress up in a tux, it was a good time. And my rental car even got into the wedding.
Made a quick stop by the Traveling Aggies office to make sure everything was taken care of for my Peru / Machu Picchu vacation next year. I was a little worried trying to do everything from across the pond.
Looks like it will be a good trip & I got the names of the other travellers.
Met up with another high school friend living in College Station. Conveniently, his kids were playing flag football at the same time as my brother's step-son.
Then off to the hotel. My suite on the top floor, right next to the Hilton emblem.
This year I only get to make one football game from Scotland. The Aggies are playing Oklahoma State. Krista is able to make her annual game as well. Not sure if the win streak will continue - every game she has gone to over the years, the Aggies have won.
Update - well, the streak is over. Wasn't as close as the final score. But it was a good day out, even if the weather wasn't as nice as forecasted.
Today was WET.
We had an event at 8:30 AM in Houston so we started a little later than we will be starting on the other days.
It appeared that it rained last night. It was VERY cloudy this morning but it was not raining. We had breakfast at the hotel where they had waffles in the shape of Texas. After breakfast everyone got ready for the 1.5 mile ride to LifeGift for our event kick-off.
In the hotel ...
... one day, just not right now. I just want to go, to walk, and to be free. To not worry about anything except for what I'm going to do that night. To lounge on a hammock and read, then take a dip in the ocean, just to crawl right back to the hammock and read some more. Looking back I've always been happiest on the road. When I think of fond memories I think of sitting on my balcony in Bad Gastein, Austria listening to the trains coming in through the verdant, cloud ...
College Station, Texas, United States tex25Well - they moved the game time up for TV. So my flight from the UK would not be early enough to see the whole game. I was able to make to the stadium before halftime, so I was able to see the Fighting Texas Aggie Band. The game was basically over by that time, but it was good to get to a game ...
