... linked with that particular trip. Usually, the choice of song makes itself apparent at some point during the course of the trip, through an experience or epiphany. Other times, it isn't clear what the song will be until I return home, and have time to digest the experience. But this time, like last year, I knew what the song would be even before leaving the country. And also like last summer when there were two songs, it's also by ... Jimmy Eat World ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada pwong... in Kauf.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada jillsutherland... s most popular attraction; the Calgary Zoo. As I stood in line to purchase my ticket, I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to see Tracey - the girl from New Zealand I'd met in Banff. It was actually really nice to see someone I knew, and especially great to have company while visiting such a kid-oriented place. The zoo was very interesting, but with its landscape having been affected by the Canadian winter, I imagine it's even better in the summer. After ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada canadianjulie... out I ponderd about for a place to crash down. I hid amongst the trees and began dinner preparations. I ended up cutting off the nasty portion of the carrots and boiling them with a tea bag for a surprisingly delicious dinner. The cherries where too far gone so I cast them off into the wilderness. After changing camp three times I found a suitable spot for hiden dozing. Cozy in my sleeping bag I rolled up into my tarp and had sweet dreams til the morning.
Calgary, Alberta, Canada jojojinks12Hey guys, Sorry there hasn't been much an update (although I don't think anyone's even started to read this). So, since I got here on Monday, and our visit to the park on Tuesday, we went to the zoo Thursday and finished our Rock-climbing Orientation. So, I'm officially certified to Baley (spelling?) people up. I bought a membership at this awesome campus gym (going to return my YMCA membership tomorrow), since ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada kawaiguyI'd be surprised if I'm ever allowed to fly again. First of all I forgot that I had suncream in my laptop bag and so when I reached the screening my bag was checked for explosives and my suncream was confiscated. I couldn't really argue having watched and laughed at other idiots trying to ignore the liquids rules in the past. Next up I thought I'd take the flight with my mobile phone left switched on. I've only been using it as a watch here as it doesn't work ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada paulleck1975... fast-cooking pitas and before I knew what was happening, I smelled a little smoke. No big deal; I've burned pitas before. But this time, when I opened my oven, flames leapt out at me. I tried closing the oven, which didn't really help. The smoke started pouring out of the vent. Eventually, I had no choice but to get out my trusty fire extinguisher; as Alton Brown ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada kevinwanders... Use one inside your tent to keep your clothes for the morning dry (do assemble these clothes the night before). We found that our tent leaked and as they were very small tents everything placed along the sides of the tent was very damp in the morning. 8. Bring the lightest, strongest flashlight you can buy and extra batteries. High altitude seems to do something to batteries. It is very hard to find things in the dark and you will be getting up in ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada indianajillHere we are, sitting in the lounge at the gate waiting to find out if we can get seats on the first flight from Calgary to London. We are currently ticketed for the 10:00 pm flight, but the first flight leaves at 7:40 pm, and we would rather leave on the earlier flight to give us a more flexible connection in London. We just said "au revoir" to each of our parents. Aren't good-byes supposed to be getting easier? Tamalyn's parents drove us from ...
