      My last day on the farm! It started with the chicken chores, then I helped harvest for the vegetable box delivery to Cambridge and then also started taking out the bok choy and the womboks. Well, all the ones that had bolted anyway! Ran into a couple of snakes as well... Blah they just startle you cause they're always hiding in the rows of vegetables and then you put your hand down to grab one out of the ground and RAH! ...

      ... for it! Lots of boats out on the lake (I assume people were taking advantage of the great weather and going fishing!). We then came back and didn't do much again... Just too hot and we were exhausted from the heat of the day... So once Deb was home we all had a late dinner and now we are all ready for bed! Hopefully it won't be as hot tomorrow as it was today... And tomorrow is my last day on the farm!!! :( I'm really going to miss the beauty and peace of sapsucker ...

      ... started unloading the bales of straw and putting it into water tanks. The purpose of this is to soak the straw for about 6 days so it'll be nice and mushed down! We then collected the weeds again through the asparagus and rhubarb and then Jim starting hauling the wood chips to us and we mulched the entire garden. It didn't take as long as we thought, but it was hard work! It looks amazing now. No more jungle of weeds that are taller than you!! :) it's also a great feeling to have a ...

      ... after lunch Sarah and I got to work on the weeding out where the asparagus and rhubarb is planted. Oh my - it was a JUNGLE in there! Literally! The weeds were everywhere and it took ages to flag out all the asparagus and rhubarb! They were nearly as tall as I was, you couldn't see what was underneath you and I got countless scratches and burns from all different types of weeds! I bit my tongue and finished ...
