Finally after months of planning the day has arrived and we're off to the airport. We agreed 6pm as our departure time. My packing had been done a couple of days ago. Hazel was just starting the shoe debate and as she lined up the final nine options declared that her suitcase was already full and that another 3kg of bits were going in my bag. 6pm …

Flight # 3 is a long one, we are seated in the last row of seats at the back of the plane row 73.. good flight apart from a very loud man who insisted on standing near us, luckily we had turbulence so he had to go back to his seat. To my immediate devastation, the vending machine took only notes and I just sat and stared at the Mars bars through the glass while I used the net. Right now, we are sitting in Garfunkels at Leicester Square after a huge full English breakfast and a milkshake (I might have ordered a second ...

... behind it. Julia LOVED it, one particular act, just before half time had her with mouth wide open, believing in magic. Show over, it's off back to west Brompton to meet with friends of Vicky's, Nick & Alisa, and their friend Mica, all kiwis, Alisa hails from Feilding, but not even 30. Way to make me feel old. A quaint restaurant/cafe/bar, very very grungy with every inch of every wall, ceiling space, nook & cranny filled with some THING. And ...
