... was, even before it was connected to the rail line, starting to sell a lot of its produce commercially, so there was less scope (and less need) to save *************ey by doing all those things ... and there was money for luxuries like canned Pineapple in the middle of winter!

How things have changed!

Time was marching on it was after 4pm and I wanted to ring Y2K Computers to see how things were going (they were still downloading the deleted programs it takes time to restore them) and I was told they would ring when the laptop was ready. Said our goodbyes to everyone the three of us weren't very hungry so we decided not to go to the Swiss Chalet we would have ...

... Huron. The outline of the Great Lakes of Canada and the US were a part of my
school geography and which has always remained in my memory, especially that of Lake Superior which my geography master used to liken to a wolf’s head. The border crossing back into Canada was again quick and hassle free and we could hand over our US Visa Waiver card to the Canadian immigration officer which made life easier.
