We arrived in Dublin with such excitement and thrill that we could **********tain our joy! We were in Ireland for St. Patrick's Day...anything could happen! We had super amazing directions this time too! We had the directions the hotel gave us, and we had directions from Google's Map Quest, which quite possibly could be one of the most genius creations out there on the internet! Anyway, so there we were at the airport with two sets of directions in hand and just as a precautionary method we ...

Dublin, Ireland aubreyamericaWe drove to Dublin and stayed in another Travel Lodge. We went out on the town in the Temple Bar district and had a massive night the first night, pub and club hopping. We had so much fun, but I did not feel the best the next morning after way too many tequila shots. Last night we went out for a nice three course meal, which was great. But you wouldn't want to do it much here, everything costs an absolute fortune. This is a rushed entry, cause I now have to catch a plane to London and then I'...

Another beautiful day in Dublin - we have just been so lucky with the weather!
This morning we headed off to Fairley Park - which is a large mansion, just at the top of Pheonix Park - the mansion is the property of the Irish Governmet, but was origionally bought and renovated by the Guiness family. These days it's used for visiting heads of state. The grounds are just beautiful. Sadly no photos inside (security reasons), but it was just ...
... over there. They didn’t have any clocks for sale, but they did have the adapter I was looking for on sale for only €10.00 (what a deal!). I asked the clerk if he knew where I might find an alarm clock. He seemed puzzled for a minute, and then suggested I try the camping supply store near Clarendon Street. Although I wasn’t sure of the logic in his suggestion, I decided to go ahead and try it. What can I say? I’m open to the power of suggestion. We exited ...
Dublin, Dublin, Ireland jonesinmybones... told that the rate has come down a bit and it is an employer's market right now. Just what I needed to hearJ By the end of that week it was not looking very positive for me getting office work soon, so I decided I had to change tactics as I needed to start earning some money. So I changed my CV around a bit and on the Friday I went by foot around the Temple ...
Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland vhenschke... GBP25!! As soon as we arrived in Dublin we all took a liking to it... for one the people were half was decent looking compared to what we'd already seen. We checked into our hostel and went for a walk about the streets, went down Temple Bar and listened to some local music and checked our the bars. One was called "Boomerang" - guessing this was an Aussie bar. Dublin is EXTREMELY expensive! Even buying ...
Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland chooijer... the top ten list - and it sounded traditional so we were immediately very happy, we were also greeted with warm wooden walls and dim lighting and lots of friendly locals. The first floor had a bar and some tables - already full - so we went up to the next floor and found two bars and lots more tables - already full. It was on this floor the band was playing, sort of; two staircases lead up to a mezzanine with one of the two bars, in between these staircases ...
Dublin, Ireland gojenngo... is an awesome place to see. A nice mixture of an urban capitol city with plenty of greenery and history. The cool thing also is that there are several day trips that you can take from Dublin to see all kinds of stuff outside of the city. One thing to watch out for in the pricyness of every thing. Although Ireland uses the Euro as their currency, they pertain to the United Kingdom which is one of the most expensive places to visit in ...
Dublin, Ireland gibby186xKeep to the Left! I was in Galway last weekend, which is on the west coast of Ireland. This girl named Lauren and I (who I met at the Hostel) rented a car for the weekend and did a little road trip on the west coast. So great, and all typical road trip stuff...only with an Irish twist...like stopping in the middle of nowhere for Irish stew, stopping for cows to cross the road and driving on the left hand side of the road for the ...
