      ... li>The facilities are amazing and definitely have a link to industry standards in terms of machinery.

    • The aim of the UTC is to have strong community ties with primary schools and the local area. As a result their premises are going to be used to run local competitions and workshops in support of STEM education. During my visit they had primary schools there involved in a session with the bloodhound car. More info here:

      ... was so crowded that Terra wasn't able to get on the train with us because the doors closed before she could step in. Through the closed door I told her to get off of the next train at Notting Hill Gate, our stop. I'll never forget the look on her face - like she was going to cry and like she was going to kill us. We waited at Notting Hill Gate for the next train - no Terra. Next train - no Terra. We waited for 6-7 trains then ...

      ... meet locals - one of the great treats of travel! Our lovely Sarah arrived in the evening with our lovely Torz ( her best friend) who lives & teaches here. Had a great catch-up & dinner then shopping in Primark for more pillows - the ones we have are too flat! Surprised by some of the prices here - 2 pillows for about 12 ...

      ... of London from the sky. Once back on the ground, its time to see them up close. Heading first for Big Ben, and it is Big thats for sure. walking around to Westminster Abby, and paying the £20 to go inside, it was beautiful. It didn't have all the chairs set out like you saw in the royal wedding (for those who watched it on tv). Get yourself a audio guide if you visit, it is very worth while. there is so much ...

      ... we will both share my Santa suit. Turns out you didn’t even need the blooming voucher!

      As we got dressed – I became aware that it was going to be somewhat difficult to run in this silly Santa suit! Being challenged in the height department I had to roll the legs and the arms up so that I could at least attempt to look like a normal Santa.
