California, Missouri, United States judgethisbusine... side down to the tar paper before it began raining for real. There has been more rain than anyone can remember for this time of year and is about 20 degrees colder than usual.. Global changes? The cold, overcast, rainy front seems to be covering most of the USA. Oh well...it doesn't bother us as we get on with our "Habitat for Family" work!

Matt came home after his shift cooking steaks at D&G Steak House and ...
Columbia, Missouri, United States jodieandandy... show Darren the Missouri campus he always tries to discount due to his Kansas ties. We visited Kristi's brother Brian and his girlfriend and they served as our tour guides around a campus that has changed quite a bit in ten years which made Kristi feel really old. It's still a beautiful campus.

Jefferson City, Missouri, United States poonieToday I had to get up early and pick up some equipment for work that I have to drop off at another one of my work locations in California. Got some pictures of the MO state capital on the way to Kansas City. Now we are just relaxing for the rest of the day. Tomorrow is the last day we'll spend going through the rather uninteresting areas of the midwest.
Jefferson City, Missouri, United States mkilgo01Sept. 17 After having our house batteries die during some of our coldest nights, we decided to upgrade to Trojan T-145 6 volt deep cell golf cart batteries. I found them in Columbia, MO and the shop owners let me change them out in their parking lot. Now we have 2 batteries that will give us lots of power for years to come. We used our new power to celebrate our 10 month anniversary on the road. If that's not romantic... what is?
Columbia, Missouri, United States jodieandandy... s house is really nice! It had an old cottage feel to it with a nice large back yard, again with an overgrown cottage look to it - very cute. Stuart made a delicious vegetarian meal, I was very impressed! Day 3 - 10th June 2008 We started today off with some Frisbee golf with Stuart (or disc golf as they like to call it). I remember playing it a bit when I was there in 1997, so really wanted to do it again on this visit ...
Columbia, Missouri, United States vhenschke... visa for Brasil. That will be quite a task in itself, but I still need an acceptance letter from my University to even be considered for the visa. One of the advisors for the program is quite behind and disorganized, but it will all work itself out and things will get done, even if I have to do them all myself. As of right now, it seems as though I will be leaving January 12, 2008, though I am not sure from where yet ...
