    ... and played games, then drove to the playground. Alice and Tom were oblivious to the icy wind but eventually we managed to drag them away! It was wonderful to catch up and see them looking so well and happy.

    Later in the day we took the girls to see Pat and Ernie (Simon's parents) in Worksop and Alice scored another ice cream when the van just happened to stop outside their house.

    Early nights all round - big day tomorrow!!!

    Barnsley , Silkstone, Flowers cold weather

    ... odds and ends all hand made. Then went to Silkstone to see Targets dad Boydie and the boxer family. Had. Few more laughs and then back to Tankersley Manor where we met up with Margaret and Robert for dinner. Weather is terrible cold and wet and forecasting snow for tomorrow . Barnsley is a pretty place with lots of gardens and as it is spring tulips and daffodils sway gently in the cold winds everywhere ...

    ... hotel at 9 to give ourselves plenty of time to get to Kings Cross and find out where we need to go. Carrying our luggage from the hotel to Pimlico station was a lot harder then I thought it would be. We finally made it to Pimlico and caught the tube to Kings Cross with plenty of time to spare, so we sat down to rest our legs at Pret and I had a coffee. We eventually found out which platform we had to catch the train from (unfortunately it wasn't platform 9 3/4) ...
