... view is quite pretty too. The highway winds through treed areas and there are some mountain peaks in the distance. There is one large snow covered peak, Mt. Baker I think, which reaches up high, showing its splendor. Much of the scenery hides itself around bends or down hills. It's hard to take pictures, but I try. ... had a great trip to Middelburg. Not too busy on the roads yet and we did take the highway, not the route over the islands. We arrived in Middelburg at around 1330 hours adn we barely had said hi to Emille and Els and Donnd Dana arrived ther as well. They had left a day earlier and lost one suitcase in Frankfurt. They had waited another hour in Amsterdam Airport for a later flight to arrive from Frankfurt, however their suitcase was not on that ...

Our second stop was Castlegar (Castlegar Cabins & RV Park). The area is rich with the cultural histories of Native Indians, Canadian Japanese and Russian Doukhobors. Being dedicted pacifists (against militarism and violence) they were forced to foreit their properties in Alta, Sask & Man in the early 1900's. Without compensation, they came here to farm, establish orchards, build lumber mills, construct irrigation ...
... At last – the long awaited reunion of Laura and Glitza! Hate to resort to clichés, but it really did seem like no time had passed at all. We stayed in Abbotsford and joined the Sunday end-of-the- weekend "cabin" traffic heading back into Vancouver and it was definitely worth it. Had a great visit with Daniel (Dad) while Laura and Glitza caught up on all things. So sweet – too ...
... to fund the Welcoming and Inclusive Communities and Workplaces program since June 2008. We can see that for British Columbia, the multiculturalism is one of the most important things for the province!
