As it happened the road was faster than expected and we were in Visalia for 10.15am. We did a rehearsal in front of the webcam and then went for coffee. On Main Street Visalia, which is quite smart and subtle, we found a crowded cafe where we asked for two regular coffees to take out and got instead two enormous coffees to take out.

After gathering all the last minute materials for the trip, (we'd been preparing for months, and had the RV at the house for weeks, fixing it up and packing it), we were off.
