My little Transalp on the other hand is fully loaded and is almost twice the weight as their sports bikes and on much narrower off road tyres and so simply just slices its way through the puddles.       ... After the tour we had a light lunch at the cafe then drove onto Durham. The A1 was diverted at Berwick on Tweed via the A682 to where it joined the A1 just before Newcastle. Very nice farming areas with lots of hay making and sheep. Found the accommodation but no meals Sunday so had to walk 10 mins to a hotel.       Cleaned & got myself organised as Neil & family headed off to work + school. Meet Russell for lunch down by the docks for cod & chips = very nice and then for a drive along the coast northwards & actually found some sandy beaches.....

      Packed up and took the back roads to Newcastle & arrived around 1130. Found out the package that I sent over, customs had decided to hit it with a tax and due to Neil & the family being away on holidays they didn't collect it in time and it was sent back to me..... Kids excited ...
