    Laid here at 2.47 am not able to sleep. My toes are wriggling with excitement! My head is filled with airports, shows, weather, outfits, cocktails....the list goes on ! ;) Know I need to sleep but it just not happening! Had a lovely pre holiday day little wander round Trafford ...

    For the first time this week we woke to rain – but it didn't matter too much as we were leaving to go home. The coach came to collect us on time and after fetching other travellers from local hotels, we arrived at Luqa Airport in good time for our flight home.     ... we were staying. The journey was great in that it gave us good views of quite a bit of Malta, and the temperature read-out at the front said 18C, so we were very happy! Our overriding impressions were of grand-looking houses interspersed with derelict ones, and fields separated by rubble walls or hedges of prickly pear.

    ... for tomorrow. On our way back the clouds drift off to sea so after doing some laundry we head for lighthouse beach. It is a great beach with lots of surfers but no one sunbathing. After 3 hours the clouds role back in and the wind makes it chilly so we retire for lunch. The storm starts and lasts about an hour. Once it clears col BBQ's some sausages and we have tea overlooking the sea.
