... probably because everyone was at Disneyland! Nomes' legs were sore from their misuse on the plane, so we headed back to our hotel.

We soon discovered the fireworks for Disney's evening show are easily heard and viewed from outside our door! They were very impressive - making us look forward to seeing them even closer in two nights time. We did the readings, by which time Nome was a goner. It wasn't too late but I was exhausted too - bed ...

... hour and a bit just wondering around looking at all the different types of animals they had at the zoo, but time was knocking on so I took off to the Santa Monica Pier. I chose from the 'test kitchen' page of the menu and had a garden fritata. Lots of roasted vegies in a fritata about 20cm across and 5cm thick. It was really good. Marie had a BLT sandwich on rye. She had a watermelon juice cocktail and I had a glass of Californian pinot noir. It was nice sitting out in the sun watching the Sunday crowd (mostly gay men) promenading up and down Santa Monica ...
