Quite nice, seemed to be a bit disorganised on Reception. We went to check in but no room available but they took our voucher and our credit card details in readiness for when we did go to our room. Then when we returned again 2 hours later they had lost the voucher and the credit card swipe,.and wanted us to provide it again. That was a bit worrying !!
We were especially concerned when we departed and they wanted to charge us again despite having handed in our voucher .
The room was nice , quiet, warm and cosy and clean .

Very central, short walk to Salamanca, the docks, shops, movies and there are some lovely little restaurants nearby with cheap tasy food.
Rooms were good and very clean. Very good value.

The markets were a real mixture of different food stalls, antiques, fruit and veg, crafts and Tasmanian produce. We had a stickful of mushrooms- really delicious, we could have been …

... Babette’s fiancée and he had been with her on the tour in America. It was great to see him again and I had a cup of tea while they told me more about their life in Tasmania. That evening Babette had arranged for three of us to meet up with Cheryl for food in Hobart. Cheryl was another one person from my Contiki tour and it was great to get the opportunity to see her again. She had only just recently moved back to Tasmania from Ireland so it was the first time that any of us ...

... is left is sensational. It was another really interesting history lesson for the kids - they particularly liked the haunted house, but when we suggested the nightly ghost tour they lost interest! It was a big day with lot's of walking, by the end we were all very tired and looking forward to getting back to the van.

It has been a very busy few days so we decided to have a relatively quiet day today (Friday 11/2). Schoolwork in the morning and then a visit to ...
