An early start meant we made it to Hopwas at 2pm as planned to meet up with my parents and grandparents.

It was our first day of bad weather, although it wasn't actually that bad, at one point we went under a bridge and came out on the other side in torrential rain. ... example - " it has strong notes of peach"! Do yourselves a favour fellas and go see you mate Dan Murphy and see if he has it in stock. If not, I will encourage Raymond Brown to include it in his product line - along with Jim Beam bourbon infused ribs, which I came across over here and have already encouraged Ray to add to his list. We stumbled from the Eel Pie to A curry establishment, Spices of India, which was very nice but not hot enough ...

... Not toooo bad this one as Linda and Frank have plans to come to Oz in the next couple of years - they were going to come this Christmas but have decided to defer for a year since we've all caught up now.

So that just left Mum, Craig and I. We sat and chatted for a while then got ready. We all hate this bit and it never gets any easier as the years go by. But we always make it quick and try not to prolong the agony. Mum was watching from the upstairs window as ...
