What a difference a pub makes 2. Again really good food and some fine cider has come to the rescue. What pub shuts at 3 to open again at 6? Again the answer is the Mt Inn at Stanton. Magnificent view over the village and into the setting sun and equally good food. Scotch duck egg and foie gras with caramelised onion for entrees and gammon and Gloucestershire spotted sausage (each of those are 2 dishes not 1 ...

... with a harness on) with the park rangers and we went pond dipping and discovered all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures in the lake. We had a ride on the miniature railway with a stop off in the middle for a play in one of several childrens' play areas, had lunch and said farewell to Mel and family. Bryan Amy and I set off back to Peterborough on board Charis and we got ready for Amy's last night and the arrival of her family the following day. As soon as they ...

This years national is at the Blevoir castle in Leicestershire. We arrived after long sessions of rain and the wind was very strong. Cars were getting stuck in the muddy field. We had no problem with my brand new Freelander 2. First time with the new end closure for the awning. Took an age to assemble because of the wind and not knowing how it went together. Got it up in the end but its not ...
