      ... rim into alcoves in the canyon walls, maintaining the gardens on top. After 150-200 years, they left the canyon dwellings and moved on.



      We spent the majority of a day here. Great hike - my mom loved it! Back at the hotel, I'm on my iPad when she asks if I'm searching for the closest Dairy Queen.

      After having a relaxing evening at another Route 66 motel, we embarked on a 8 mile hike on the Bell Rock Pathway just outside of Sedona (see photos). It's a gorgeous area to hike and if you enjoy mountain biking YOU HAVE TO GO!
      Back in Flagstaff, our motel had a limited number of channels so we went to Collins Irish Pub for a second time to watch Kentucky vs. ...

      ... clocks when the rest of the country does for daylight savings time. So while it should have been a 2 hour difference from the east coast, it was 3 hours. Every time we got close to the border with neighboring states, our cell phones went crazy trying to figure out the time (and they call them smartphones?!).
