    The adventure begins

    ... the 25th year of the German reunification (1989). They were expecting thousands of people in Frankfurt and we actually ( on Saturday night) watched the major event on the TV. Dinner was at a very small local eatery where we had pork and potatoes ( of course) and wine. We sat at long wooden table with style. A neighborhood German place full of locals and fun to experience. We returned "home" and settled down for the night.

    Travel has ended BUT the memories last forever!

    ... the day, especially for those who were struggling and needed a laugh~ it gave us time to get to know the others in our group, especially those we may not have had a chance to walk with. After sharing many meals together I feel as if we are one big happy family~ always looking out for each other. When I arrived I thought Marly only arranged our accommodations and the transportation of our bags along with Linda and I to our accommodations ...

    Finally!!! Off we go :)

    We are ready to board our plane to Madrid. Flight about 9 hours. Remember we are flying overnight so no pictures today. ;)

    ... hot and humid for the competitors. The best way to watch the action from the 18th green is from the air conditioned hospitality tents. The top sponsors this year who had those available were the News-Sentinel, Copper Cellar, and Fleming's Steakhouse, where yours truly hung out with my old childhood friends Ken Canada and Chuck Cavalaris on Championship Sunday. Their food was stupendous, including shrimp, lobster, crab claws, and prime rib.
