      We set the balloons off in Shrewsbury this afternoon, and the race will end on Wednesday 3rd December 2014 at 10.00pm.

      ... Saw memorial to the composer Elgar, who was born nearby. (His birthplace museum shut for winter.) The cathedral is impressive, with lovely crypt. This building, the third on the same site, was built in 1084. We saw the tomb of King John, and of Prince Arthur. It also contains the remains of St. Wulfstan and St. Oswald.
