It's a matter of faith

... these people open stuff, they rip through shrink wrap, tear open card, peel back labels and stick fingers straight into products, they think this is 'OK' and I have absolutely no idea why.

* PEOPLE ARE DESPERATE FOR STUFF; They queue for hours to get in, hours to pay, they'll snatch and grab, they'll be ridiculously happy, upset or angry at the Presence or absence of products.

I've had to remind myself that people, hopefully even these people are more than desperate ...

... reproductive organs in their heads! Until, that is, they caught a female later on and she also had this collection of sperm, it is in fact a type of oil which later proved highly valuable in many countries and still does today in those nations that still allow whaling. Unfortunately for the whales, the name stuck!

The tour was, like everything we had come to love about NZ, very well organised and exceeded all expectations. We saw amazing mountainous ...

The rush around the north island...

... We get tickets for the thermal park south of the city and head straight to the Lady Knox Geyser which is triggered with surfactants every morning for hordes of spectators. There were literally a hundred people or more at our showing. The geyser goes off and people take their photos and we head back with the throng to the park where we wander from stinking hot pool to waterfall to steam vent and crater, with spectacular colours from the emitted minerals. This takes around a couple of ...

And it Begins...

Alrighty, After 36 hours or so of traveling, I've awoken in a roach infested hostel in Auckland, New Zealand. I wanna say the name of the place is Ueruku but don't quote me on that... despite the roaches, it's a great hostel with really nice people. I could get up and check the front of the hostel, but the jet lag prevents me from doing anything beyond survival tasks (e.g. eating, sleeping, facility use ...

Waiheke wining, dining and did I mention wining?

... for a day of wine tasting. Waiheke Island is only 30 minutes on the ferry from Auckland and has some stunning beaches and of course a multitude of wineries! We selected Stoneyridge for our days trip and had a delicious lunch overlooking the vineyards and drank 4 bottles and a few extra glasses and some extra beers for the boys chilling in the sun down in the olive groves. It was stunning. But of course we were not yet finished ...
