... the local war memorial. Uncle Bruce died in a plane crash during WWII but fortunately that happened after he gave life to my cousin Ken Fernie. The cenotaph is surrounded by poppies and was quite lovely. I sat on the corner to eat my lunch and shared a moment in their memory.

So I loaded up my car and was heading out to Calgary. I decided to grab a bite to eat. I was going to go to Dairy Queen but at the last minute I decided to go to MacDonald's. ... Australian. My hat is off to anyone who ca ride a bucking bronc or a bull. Heck,I can't even stay on a horse on a pleasure ride.

I had a great time watching the rodeo. I wanted to return Saturday to see the Wild Cow milking contest, but I was too tired. Maybe someone else will send me a video clip from their adventures. My next adventure is the women's motorcycle rally in Kanaskis, AB.
