Awake at 5:30 am and one of the first in Vista 18 for breakfast. 360 degree Panoramic views of Victoria stunning. Matthew ordered the Mount Baker Breakfast including pancakes which set him up for the day! ... tonight so after some food we drove for another half an hour to the gardens. The gardens themselves are actually really impressive with theme sections like a Rose Garden and a Japanese Garden. It was a shame we only had about an hour of daylight to look around them before jostling with the crowds to find a spot to watch the fireworks.

... was a cold, blustery day. We did drive the perimeter of Stanley Park, which has some great views. We also spent some time on Granville Island which has a terrific market. We didn't see much of downtown Vancouver. Parking was difficult and my nose was constantly buried in the map. If we ever return we need a guide to show us the city or maybe a day tour by bus.
