Traveller's Inn - City Center Victoria

... were waiting patiently waiting at the foot of the sea food stall for any scraps that may fall their way. We were lucky that a mother and her small child came by and bought some fish heads to throw out for the seals, it was fun to watch them compete for these gross treats!

We left Victoria, saying farewell to Rowena, and headed for a hostel in Vancouver for two nights before we took the Greyhound to Seattle, where the US adventure would start in earnest.

... the dexter disc brakes on the fifth wheel have been great, I dont think I would want to tow the fifth wheel with drum brakes.

So there you have it, another year gone by, tomorrow Amanda  runs in the Victoria marathon, and next Friday we fly back to New Zealand, its been a great trip, and I would encourage anybody thinking of such a journey to get on and do it before homeland security makes it totally impossible!!!

... welche an einem see vorbei kommt, damit ich meinem liebsten hobby (gewässer erkunden) nachkommen und der hitze entfliehen könnte. verschwitzt und voller vorfreude dort angekommen finde ich ein warnschild, dass die bakterienkonzentration zu hoch sei und ich doch besser eine badewanne aufsuchen sollte... nur leider gibt's keine davon im ocean island backpacker :o(

FAZIT: in victoria gibt's nicht die grossen sehenswürdigkeiten, dafür aber die 'grossen' menschen

... drinks was at 11.30pm???!!!!!!?? we were kicked out shortly after. We made our way back to the hostel and some people stayed downstairs in the cafe for some drinks (I went up to get ready for bed)... The hostel was nice enough, seemed a bit hippy like and it seemed like most of the front desk was stoned. The beds were metal framed and every time you sat on them or turned over it would make squeaky noises!
