Today we arrived at Laurie and Chris' place in Pembroke. This is the first time we are seeing their house! Laurie and Therese are old friends so its been real nice stay for our first stop in Ontario.

First weekend getaway of 2011
After having electrical issues with the boat we finally got going friday night at around 9pm. We arrived safe.
We had great weather all weekend. And I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
We did lots of fishing, and went for a run/bike ride up the mountain. Had a campfire, and hung out.

Day 1 - at least for us...on the tour
... Parkway and on to the museum. What a beautiful ride, with stunning vistas of the Ottawa River as well as the various monuments and museums in our city, and the Parliament buildings. You folks living in Ottawa are very lucky to have such a beautiful city.
