Andrew remembers this little town from his childhood, traveling from Baltimore to Minnesota to visit his Grandparents in Dassel, MN. So we left Chicago and headed for the Dells! We arrive in this crazy little town with Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museums and kitschy tourist shops on every corner, and I am thinking..."this is where he has been dying to take me?" Strange! But because the weather is turning (it was COLD) most of the little shops ...

      No regrets... maybe

... miss with all my heart. True, I will be back, but I don't want to leave them in the first place. I wish I could just take them with me or not leave in the first place, but they said they will be here when I get back so I'll be looking for them :)

      I'll be seeing you.

... we see greens of every shade - forested hills, fields of corn, pastures, hay fields. For us, so used to the west, it's quite a change.

We are headed to Columbus, Ohio to visit Kent's cousin, have our tires rotated, restock at Trader Joe's, then keep on moving. The eastern states and Maritime Provinces are calling!

      Our interstate highway system ...

Hurricane Weather alert for the east coast

Hurricane Bertha is forming in the Atlantic Ocean but sounds like it will not hit the shore line. Thank God! This is my greatest fear because we will be staying on the beach on Virginia Beach. Lovely weather today and good driving. Boys are playing car bingo, car scavenger hunt and license plate game. They are motivated because they won prizes! So far so ...
