Had a nice tailwind yesterday that helped us get 140 miles east to Ness Kansas. It took us through Lane County. Since we live in Lane County Oregon we couldn't help but take a few pictures of our sister county in Kansas.I will try to add these to this post, may need to come as a separate post As we arrived on a Friday at 5:00 into Ness we were flagged off the road by a bunch of folks gathered around a barbecue. At the suggestion on a blog that I read of another RVer we decided to drive through Kansas, which we hadn't been through before, and stop at Fort Larned. It is a well-preserved fort that was occupied during the Civil War but the troops sent there were never engaged in the war because they were too far west.
