    ... and conversations with about 10 working residents of the town. Some worked the oilfields, others ranched, one was UPS. Lots of fun while we waited out a fast-appearing thunderstorm.     ... was not reading the SIM card. They would have to send us a new receiver in 4-5 days. I was ok with that since we bought a lot of movies at Packwood on Memorial Day Weekend. So we left it home.

    After the first night, kids didn't put the TV away and it fell while the trailer was moving so now we get the 7" portable screen and 1/4 of the TV screen (it's screwed up). Good thing the kids and I love to read. I literally have a large laundry basket full of books. ...

    At the suggestion on a blog that I read of another RVer we decided to drive through Kansas, which we hadn't been through before, and stop at Fort Larned. It is a well-preserved fort that was occupied during the Civil War but the troops sent there were never engaged in the war because they were too far west.
