... for Wilson - it has the World's Largest Collection of Whirlygigs (things that move when blown by the wind) . We were so impressed when reading about it that we gave it a big miss. The hotel toilet paper has 2 sides - really rough, and the other is grease proof. It's all single ply too, so handle with care. There should be a sign as you enter Wilson: Move along, there is nothing to see ...

Not a hot tub, more like a warm tub. Staying at The RV Resorts @ Carolina Crossroads. Very new, but very nice for $30 ...

... and crushed our chance to go golfing. Drat. We just passed the South Carolina gate in the car. It is actually a real brick gate. Really pretty. The roads in south Carolina or very very bumpy. Just saw a turtle cross the road. Hee hee! Beautiful rest areas in South Carolina. Called our mom from one of the rest stops for mothers day. I am looking out our windshield and see the first of our drizzle. First time since we set out on our road trip so ...

... Too bad. Even without the alcohol I still managed to twist both my ankles spectacularly falling down some concrete steps. Luckily a Vespa parked at the bottom broke my fall. For about two minutes I actually thought I'd broken my ankle. I don't know if I've every sprained it this bad. Perfect timing before a global trip. But I iced up and persevered through the day. Walking around Duke was out, but sitting a brewery all day sounded distinctly ...
