This morning I worked in the hotel room, and then drove to the Audoins' home again where I had been invited for lunch along with Hervé Dubois and Helen Hayes who will be married tomorrow. This morning I was up and out of the hotel just after sunup for the drive to Charles de Gaulle airport. I arrived with plenty of time, and filled the tank with diesel before turning the car in. Well, this will be my last entry. I was hoping to have updated more than i did, but i also thought i'd have far more internet than i did! We visited the Dune du Pyla today, a 100m high natural sand dune on the south edge of Archachon.
There is a large car park at the base and, conveniently, steps up the side for those in high heels or carrying dogs (we saw both)

... appreciate this. But in all honesty, its a beautiful city. Similar to Biaritz in terms of the location, but this one is one bustling tourist town. And so many tapas bars - fabulous.
