Felt good to be back on the road again. Climbing from the Palm Springs Valley on Highway 62 you start seeing more and more Joshua trees on the sides of the highway. We left 62 at Yucca Valley/Village and headed north towards Victorville. However, we did somehow miss Victorville and ended up halfway between Victorville and Barstow when we figured it out-- driving on Highway 18 North ...

We left Fresno, with me driving and headed to the Sequoia National Park. We drove through farming land with lots of almond, peach trees and grapes. I had quickly looked at the map and knew which highway I was supposed to be on, but did not look at which town I was supposed to be heading to and sort of just followed the cars in front and we ended up at a really small town called Reedly.
