Not sure if its because of the elevation or the time of year, but the temperature went from 95 to 45 when the sun went down. Brrrr.

... coming 60 miles away. Pretty soon the storm was right with us and it was windy. It sure makes it hard for Mark to drive, but he does a great job. We found the Koa in Lyman, and checked in. It was cool and breezy but it was nice out. The boys played on the playground equiptment with some kids that were there, and Mark and I just relaxed. The KOA didn't have cable and with the storm their internet wasn't working either. Oh well. We cleaned up, prepared for the next day and went to sleep.

... Perfect weather today, blue skies. It was interesting to see snow up there still. I stopped at a waterfall and also hiked near Mirror Lake. The scenery was gorgeous. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of Mirror Lake because the parking lot was extremely crowded (4th of July weekend, go figure and I couldn't find a place to park, and there wasn't a place I could find the pull off the highway, but ...

... get the pilot lit, but it would not kick on. I fought for another hour and was pretty mad because tonight was COLD. But there was nothing I could do about it know so we hunkered down, un-poped the camper as promised and buried ourselves in blankets.

Nothing exciting, no longer tourists, just Intersate travelers. Crossed great salt flats, home of the Bonneville Speed . Stopped at Salt Lake City H-D for dots, clothes and a wind breaker. I have lots of excess wind from under the windshield, hope it helps. Sleeping early, need to make Nebraska tomorrow. May not post tomorrow as pictures get boring. Bye.

... there´s no inherent honor in last minute preparation styles, but i must admit that i am quite pleased with the sheer amount that i have been able to accomplish in these last few days: applied for and received a passport renewal, purchased a new bicycle and a trailer BOB to tag along.

It was a rolling resurfacing as well, which meant that everytime we stopped to look at something the blooming tarmac lorry and van with the cone men would pull up right in front of us then start resurfacing the road making us wait.
