We just glided downriver with our guide named Grant Bishop from the Barker-Ewing rafting company steering using two big oars. ... that we were able to just float on through! As we approached Heron Pond we saw two female elk drinking on the shoreline. They moved off as we approached. Got out of the boat to check out activity on or around Heron Pond and we did get to see a muskrat working the area. We got back in the boat and saw a mother duck with eight young moving along the shore. There were white pelicans flying around as we were paddling.
