Aarau, Aargau, Switzerland beaandroger... fairgrounds to check things out.

In Münsterplatz we rode the big wheel and got a nice view of the city lights reflecting on the Rhine. After our ride we just hung around a stall selling gluwein, drinking and chatting. Everywhere we went was crowded with people in good spirits and children full of sugar and excitement. Herbstmesse is a fun time in Basel!
Basel, Basel, Switzerland travelingdiva... After work the man and I headed there (with Lincoln, of course) to see if the electronics store would have any Wiis left. They were selling them for 222 CHF so we knew we didn't have a hope in hell of finding one. The 10 minute drive took over an hour. The mall is beautiful, right down to the parking lot. It is pretty ballsy of them to charge us for parking though. I was really surprised that a shopping mall would do that. I guess that's my North American mind talking.
<br ...
Basel, Basel, Switzerland travelingdiva... trunk and backseat, we said goodbye. It was a bit sad for me but mom had a really hard time. This is somewhat amusing as when I moved here, she didn't shed a tear when I left, but cried like a baby when Lincoln left later when my sister came to visit.

Anyway, finally they got in the car and I joined the man by the exit so we could wave them along the way. The entire trip mom and dad joked about how happy they are I was with them because without me they just get ...

Damn near froze standing still for that long, but I had a good vantage point for the pictures so I wasn't going to move for fear of losing my spot. After the parade we got stuck into the gluhwein and some hot food then went back to the hostel for a hot shower, then out for dinner. We went to a local brewery that had a restaurant incorporated and had such a good time that we made it a regular while we were there.
Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Württemberg, Germany danandroz... sheet from my training and that was pretty much all I did. One of the guys at work, BB, lives in the apartment directly above mine. He is also a native English speaker as he hails from England, so he has been great. Tonight he invited me out. First we tinkered with my TV until I figured out how to change the sound on the Swiss channels. The channels from Switzerland have dual sound options. One is in the original programming and the other is in a dubbed language. Usually the ...
Basel, Basel, Switzerland travelingdivaI have been given a wonderful welcome here in Basel. My hotel kicks ass and is right by the main train station. I discovered last night that these trains run quite late and eventually shut my windows before they shut down service. This morning I had my free breakfast then tried to find the office long before I was supposed to be there. It is a five minute walk from the hotel which is great, because my skirt ripped as I was walking and I had to ...
Basel, Switzerland travelingdiva... the last challenge. ILS 16 circling 26 and yes we made it. One day has past now and all my thoughts are still turning around this trip. It was one of the most interesting things I have been able to do and I will be thinking about it for a long time. I hope I could give some impressions to the ones who read my lines in this blog. I am looking forward to do something similar again.
Basel, Switzerland grex74... to keep it from tipping. At Magenta we were anticipating a relatively simple trip up to the surface on the lifts, from where we had a few hundred metres of walk along the street to Gare de l'Est. As fate would have it things were not so simple. The last of 2 lifts to the surface decided it would malfuction and not leave the concourse level. As such we had to lug the cases slowly up a few flights of stairs, only to find that we were at another mezzanine with another flight of ...
