    ... an upside down jellyfish, black crabs and egrets. He explained that egrets are considered the 'local birds' as one is wearing the black abayas and the other species a white dishdash. Crabs live in the holes in the banks helping oxygenate the mangroves. As well, the mangroves take oxygen in from the water and release salt on the under side of their leaves. The yellow flower is just a study in perseverance!

    ... and sober so can't blame the drink. Looking forward to tomorrow when the holiday properly begins.     ... magnificent inside and out. Made of white marble and gold with pillars and domes, the place of worship can hold up to 40,000 people in the courtyard and main prayer hall and is home to the world's largest Persian carpet! The timing of our visit was such that we were able to hear the sunset call to prayer. Playing from the speakers, the captivating Arabic song symbolises that it's time to come in to pray.

    ... coffee and some freshly baked cookies. Yum. We landed in Abu Dhabi and made our way to the lounge, at the entry there was the Six Stones Massage and well being centre, Mum said, why don't you get a massage?     So we left Manchester on the 31/12/13 at 8am bound for Abu Dhabi! The flight itself was just short of 8 hours. Was a pleasant flight with some good food! We were sat next to a lovely Indian lady that never spoke a word all journey, never got up for the toilet and prayed to herself all the way there! We had made a friend for life!!
