... out for dinner, but the lateness and the weather...Rats! I just checked back at what I wrote and you already know about the food part...

Anyway, it snowed a good four inches here in K-town, on top of the eight or so inches from yesterday. The motel slept good, regardless of whether it didn't really appeal to Lynn as much as to me. Is this a guy thing, or what??

Anyway, again, the breakfast was tolerable and we met Cheryl, on her day ...

... of Auburn, in the usual fog, at 9:30AM. I drove about a hundred miles or so and Lynn took the wheel. We had lots of fog, off and on, but the Summit of Snoqualmie it was relatively clear. Traffic was only semi-psychotic. Driving early on a holiday seems to be the best way to escape the area. It worked for us.


We got into Coeur d'Alene, Idaho at about 2:30PM. By stopping at a Rest Area and having cheese, crackers, fruit ...

... we had used the spare fuel the day before while in the mountains and neglected to refill it. Fortunately I'm a pro at running out of gas. We were only a few miles from a station and we have Land Rover recovery vehicles (bicycles) with us. After a short sprint to the gas station, we were on the road again. Oooooohhh....the cinnamon sticks are awesome also....tried one last time and Geeze....$1.00 each but they are addictive! 2) Taco Time. Expensive, only two tacos to meal, meat is kinda bland/mushy. No hot sauce selection. Nasty pump tub for the only hot sauce they have. Tator tots, not fries and no BBQ sauce. They do have good Taco shells and fresh cheese and lettuce. 3) ...

... the window now. With the flights they rebooked me on I received a ****** eight hour layover too. Yay!


The feeling was similar to when I lost my car in Brisbane. I found out where my car was, but I still had to wait a day to get it and see if it was ok. I got my flights rebooked, but I still had to sit around for a day until I could continue on my journey. On a side note, the hotel was very nice and believe it or not it was the first time I stayed in a hotel on my 8 month ...
