... on to Detroit. Connections in Minneapolis were uneventful. Once we arrived in Detroit we fetched our rental car, a white Dodge Journey, and set off for downtown Detroit. The GPS was pretty good at getting us to our hotel at the GM Renaissance Center. We wandered around in the circle of the RenCen and finally found an Italian restaurant to get some dinner. A Rest Stop

... tent and set it up, and then made dinner. It was a quiet evening, sitting around the campfire and resting from the long day of driving.

In the morning, we packed up and then took a short walk down to the river. We found a beautiful wood bridge. We took some pictures, soaked in the morning sun, and then headed back to the car. We were on our way to Glacier National Park in Montana.
