... initial turbulence. I played some Tetris to help the first flight pass before arriving in Phoenix and jumping straight on the next flight to Spokane. This flight passed quicker than the other which I was thankful for. We arrived and walked down to baggage claim and there was Len and Leatha I was incredibly grateful after a 12 hour travel day. Ok, then I woke up in my comfortable bed! Breakfast was terrific. The eggs Benny were to lust after. We headed out of Boise at about 12...and proceeded to run out of gas. Since the gas gauge doesn't work, it's all guesswork as to how long you'll go before needing fuel. The problem ...

... Idaho, Oregon and Washington, long before Lewis and Clark's expedition. They hunted, fished and gathered roots and berries of the high plateaus, as well as traveled the Snake, Clearwater and Columbia Rivers. With the arrival of Lewis and Clark's expedition in 1805, the lives of the Nez Perce were dramatically altered. White settlements ushered in a period of tumultuous change. Treaties were broken, resulting in a war in 1877 between the ...
