    ... the town and a fairly decent river (with running water! :o ) separating my district from central Fuku.

    The town is a good mix between rural and urban, as there are an array of fairly centralised shops and cafes to stay entertained (including a UNIQLO! :o) , and most people are friendly and encouraging when I attempt to speak my very rusty Japanese!

    ... large one and a smaller one with metal arm rests and jets. There was also a steam room decorated with tiny blue tiles. Upstairs was a series of saunas and a fantastic outdoor bath with views of the river (and the shell garage!). Kim landed the jackpot on the ladies side though, as Satonoyu has a penguin sauna (one that is ice cold). Just the ticket after a scorchingly hot bath!     ... the food that we had in Kawaguchiko, the meal was made up of a large number of small dishes. Our first course consisted of a plate that had a small dish of delicious marinaded squid, edamame beans, a pink fish mousse type thing topped with jelly and a very large shellfish (probably some kind of mollusc).     ... see the rain and feel the cold if you got out. We had 40 minutes in there and it cost an additional £6. When we had finished in the bath we headed back up to our room for dinner. The last serving was 6.30pm. A young guy came in with the food. He was from Germany and had a Japanese mother. He was studying out here.
