... br> I feel really lucky because there are 4 other ALTs who have started at the same time as me (3 Americans, 1 British), and we all live between 5-10 min drive of each other and get along famously. We went out to an Izakaya last Friday night, which are like Japanese pubs/bars that are very popular for after work drinkers ;) . We socialised with a group of Japanese men, me communicating in VERY broken Japanese and ...

It rains for 17 days on average each month but also receives snow in Winter :)! Other than that, the town remains a bit of a mystery as it is not on the tourist map and there is limited information on the ...

... tempura veg and prawns. They were really nice. Then came back a third time with rice and fruit to finish. Perfect. We had some wine and beers with our meal. It was a really surreal experience. We were laughing the whole way through. I pulled Noel under the table by his ankles. It was funny. After dinner we headed out to the public onsens. With the hotel we got dinner, breakfast and onsen passes. We went to Satonoyu bath first as it closed at 9pm. It ...
