With no time to fit anything else in, we waited for our Winnie the Pooh ride Fastpasses to fall due, and went on that ride. Good, but not great, and I don't know that a great deal was lost in translation. It was just a cutsie kids ride. I'm not entirely sure what all the fuss is about, and with adults waiting 90 minutes to ride, I just don't get it.

... I made steady progress up the Ara river staying mostly on the cycle path or secondary roads. There were a lot of road cyclists out zipping along the cycle path although I saw fewer as I moved further out of Tokyo. Of the 165 km to Takasaki, I would guess that about 120 km was on a cycling path.
I arrived in Kumagaya at around noon and had lunch at a chain restaurant that specializes in ramen and fried rice dishes, 700 ...
... in (which was oddly one of the most comfortable as well), and a super high tech toilet complete with a seat warmer, noise maker, various jet sprays, an air freshener, and a faucet on top of the tank that turned on automatically when the toilet flushed so you could rinse your hands in the water that was going to be used to fill the tank. The were a lot of other buttons but everything was in Japanese so I'm not sure what else it could do. We paid only $120/night, ...

in this part of Japan. (the cherry blossom out has really excited people here.
