Such a beautiful home, delicious food and stunning Japanese garden and bonsai. A wonderful visit to Yahiko mountain and shrine and the seaside. A trip into Niigata city to Kobari Beach, Sea of Japan. Leaving Tokyo around 9am we headed for then city of Niigata on the west coast, we had decided to spend a night in Niigata before catching the ferry across to Sado island the following day just to make things a little easier for a change. Arriving in Niigata the amazing tourist information staff booked us a comfortable 3 bed western style hotel (with an en-suit :D ) around 10 minutes walk away.
