    ... street in Hakata comprised of some 130 shops. We found some interesting shops where we bought some small Hakata type ornaments as well as an art print at at paper shop. We had our lunch at the shopping arcade at LA Hamburger shop. We had burgers, fries, beer, and coffee - an all-American meal. We made a short stop at a nearby shrine called Kushida Shrine.     ... on the way back to stop in a place called Dazaifu. It is famous for a beautiful shrine as well as a popular sweet - a type of baked mochi filled with red bean paste. We stopped for some ice coffee and green tea and some mochi, then browsed through a few local souvenir shops. We rode the train back to Fukuoka, arriving back after 6 pm.     Day 123 The trip took us through more beautiful scenery. As we approached the town of Aso, it really looked amazing. It is situated in a huge caldera (basically a crater) surrounded by the crater walls on all sides. From up above it looked incredible.     ... had some really nice stuff. I wish I could have bought more. Then it was time to walk to our ryokan which was about 25 minutes out of town. The walk was really nice and we easily found Ryukeien, where we staying. From the first welcome it was amazing. Our hostess took us to our room and showed us everything.
