    ... from Akita, a prefecture in northern Japan. We had several small courses followed fish, chicken and pork. There were some unusual dishes. I had forgotten to take a photo of it. It was pickled horseradish with what tasted like Kraft cheddar cheese sandwiched in between. There were about 2 layers of cheese with 3 layers of the horseradish. Dinner was finished with a dessert of green tea, vanilla or eka something (couldn't catch the name, sort of bean) ice-cream.

    ... this city and next is three weeks. Usually it is two. Since I haven't seen my family (except on Skype) for four months now, I am eager to take this chance to do so! Hopefully I'll get to spend some time with a good many of my friends as well!!

    Lastly, for fun, I put together a short video showing a bit of what my traveling city looks like. Clearly, I will never have a career as a videographer but I hope you enjoy it anyway.

    ... rooms, they didn't just change the sheets.
    They straightened our things, and even took loose change and arranged it by
    denomination.

    I did not get to make an entry yesterday because I was out seeing the sights. I ended up waking up around 5 in the morning the other day, and so I went outside to see the city. All the people were very friendly. We even saw a class of children along the street doing perspective drawings on boards. They were very excited to see Americans and loved Cole's beard.
