... and found a small bar restaurant near Hotel New Hankyu, had a drink each then headed home. Bought some groceries, drinks, baguette, and went home. Lorry is very excited by the cheap price of Jim Beam...only Y980 a bottle (about $10). She stocked up on a few spirits to add to our supply. Had to make sure we had heaps of supplies for Xmas!

After the helpful hotel receptionist helped us book an Asahi tour for the next week, we checked out and walked across the river to the large Peace Memorial Park. Within the park we went straight to the Peace Memorial Museum, which though excellent displays and signage gave a comprehensive account of the events leading up to and post the uranium atomic bombing at 8:15am on 6th August 1945. ... a real peasant and should be keeping out of the sun..... So we made our way, on the train to Osaka Castle. We arrived without any trouble and made our way through the grounds to the main gate.
